The Federal Government has put up for sale of two aircrafts in the presidential fleet according to an advert placed in a national daily. The advert asks interested buyers to show interest for the two aircrafts – a Falcon 7X (5N- FGU) and Hawker 4000 (5N-FGX). The Falcon 7X has a 16 passenger and 3 crew members capacity, while the Hawker 4000 can seat 9 passengers and 6 crew members. The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu on September 8, 2016, said the Federal Government has constituted a committee looking into the sales of some presidential jets. He said: “There is a govt committee already in place, working to reduce the number of aircraft in the presidential fleet.” “Some aircraft will be boarded, some others returned to the Air Force for operations. WAEC plans to release results 60 days after exam

The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, says it plans to reduce the waiting days for the release of its West African Senior School Certificates Examination (WASSCE) results to 60 days. The Head of National Office of WAEC in Nigeria, Olu Adenipekun, told the News Agency of Nigeria that the waiting days will now be 60 days as against 90 days previously. Mr. Adenipekun spoke with NAN on the side-line of the council’s 65th anniversary celebration which began on Thursday in Lagos.
